M&A and Post-Acquisition Integration

We help owners, operating partners, and leadership teams integrate acquired companies onto one operating rhythm, one structure, and one set of priorities, so the deal's value shows up in operations and not just on paper.

Discuss an Integration

What is post-acquisition integration?

Definition: Post-acquisition integration. The work of combining an acquired company's people, structure, processes, and meeting rhythm with the acquirer's after a deal closes.

Definition: Private equity roll-up. A strategy in which a private equity sponsor acquires several companies in the same industry and combines them into one larger platform. Integration across the add-on companies is where much of the value is won or lost.

Why do integrations stall?

  • Two cultures, two sets of values, and nobody choosing
  • Duplicate seats and unclear accountabilities
  • Each company keeps its own meetings, numbers, and priorities
  • Leadership attention goes to the next deal, not the last one

How do you integrate an acquired company?

Set one set of values and one vision, build one org structure with clear seats, put every company on the same meeting cadence and scorecard, and then improve operations together.

  1. 01

Assess: People, structure, cadence, and operating gaps in each company

  2. 02

Align: Shared values, vision, and priorities; Right People, Right Seats across the combined org

  3. 03

Install cadence: Common weekly, quarterly, and annual rhythm and scorecard

  4. 04

Sustain: Continuous improvement and opex work across the portfolio
