Quarterly and Annual Planning Sessions
We facilitate your leadership team's quarterly and annual planning sessions, so the team reviews performance, solves its biggest issues, and leaves with a short list of owned priorities for the next quarter or year.
Schedule Your Next QuarterlyWhat happens in a quarterly planning session?
A quarterly session reviews the last 90 days, resets priorities for the next 90, and works through the leadership team's biggest open issues. It's usually a full day.
Typical agenda:
- 01
Check-in and review of last quarter's numbers and priorities
- 02
Review of the vision and annual goals
- 03
Set next quarter's company priorities (in EOS, "Rocks"), each with one owner
- 04
Solve the top issues on the list
- 05
Next steps, owners, and dates
What happens in an annual planning session?
An annual session, usually two days, revisits the long-term vision, sets one-year goals and measurables, builds the first quarter's priorities, and addresses team health.
Daily huddles (stand-ups) Every day
A short stand-up at the center of the rhythm, for teams that need a quick daily sync. Optional.
Weekly leadership meeting Every week
Same agenda every week: scorecard, priorities, headlines, to-dos, and most of the time spent solving issues.
Quarterly planning Every 90 days
Review the last 90 days, reset priorities for the next 90, and solve the biggest open issues.
Annual planning Once a year
Revisit the long-term vision, set one-year goals and measurables, and build the first quarter’s priorities.
Why use an outside facilitator?
- The Visionary and Integrator get to participate instead of running the room.
- Hard issues get raised and resolved instead of politely skipped.
- The agenda holds and time doesn't drift.
- Someone outside the org chart holds everyone to the same standard.
What does it cost?
A one-day quarterly session is $5,000 at the full-day rate, and a half-day session is $2,500. Annual sessions are priced by length. Quarterly and annual sessions are included in the Ongoing Integration Partner retainer.
